Concept, Salvadoran and Mexican restaurant, Herndon, VA

Tipicos Gloria

A concept site for a busy Salvadoran and Mexican restaurant in Herndon whose old website is gone: the whole menu, kept current by the restaurant itself, a call button and a form for party orders.

We designed it to show Tipicos Gloria. It isn't run by the business, so it carries a preview banner.

Why a website

Tipicos Gloria has hundreds of reviews and no website: its listing still points to an address that now shows a parked-domain ad, so the only menus online are on delivery apps. A Basic site puts the real menu online, with prices the restaurant changes itself, and turns party orders into organized requests.

85 dishes in nine sections, from pupusas in corn or rice dough to the super pupusa served like a pizza. A new price or a sold-out soup in the business portal is on the site straight away.

The contact form asks for the date and how many people when it's a party order, then lands in the restaurant's inbox and dashboard. Today's orders still go by phone.

Built for thumbs first

Most people look up the menu on their phone, often right before they call. Every page is designed for a small screen, then scaled up.
